Crisis Intervention Team Training 40-hour NAMI

Crisis Intervention Team training is a community initiative designed to improve the outcomes of police interaction with people living with mental illness. CIT programs are local partnerships between Law Enforcement. In this training, we cover: Enhance de-escalation and tactical communication skills, Identify how to work with individuals and family members experiencing mental health crisis, Assess for risk of suicide or harm, and Gain knowledge on mental health conditions and local mental health resources.

This advanced course prepares the SRO to fulfill their roles. CIT for School Resource Officer #1401

This specialized course mirrors the nationally recognized Memphis Model. It prepares the SRO to respond immediately to a student in crisis. Officers will learn about common mental health and behavioral issues, de-escalation techniques, involuntary commitment, and supporting students as they re-enter school after treatment. Crisis intervention training is required for all SRO's under s.1006.12(1)(c), F.S. This course is intended to help fulfill that need.

Officer Involved Shooting

This course will attempt to inform agency heads, administrators, investigators, supervisors, and most importantly, the officer and witness who have just been involved in a shooting that caused death or injury on what procedures to follow in the aftermath of the critical incident.
