
Robert Martin
Corrections Coordinator
Robert Martin is a criminal justice professional with 22+ years of progressively responsible and successful experience serving the public as a State Corrections Officer. He supervised many aspects of the department of corrections including close management, confinement, youthful offender, work squads, control room, yard, dormitory, etc. Robert Martin was a state C.E.R.T. member for twelve years and graduated from FBI sniper school, Sniper Craft Sniper School and was a certified repel master. He has trained many aspects of tactical training as well as training with multiple SWAT teams including FBI Hostage Rescue Team.
Robert Martin became a certified instructor and began training criminal justice officers beginning in 1994, instructing basic recruit classes since 1998 and advanced and specialized classes since 2001. He became an adjunct instructor for the Southwest Florida Public Service Academy in 2002 and became the Lead Defensive Tactics Instructor in 2007. He has developed specialized classes for criminal justice officers including tactical ground fighting and defensive tactics for plain clothes detectives. In 2010 Mr. Martin was offered the opportunity to be the Corrections Coordinator.
