The student will recognize the differences between an interview and interrogation.; The student will learn the legal constraints of conducting interviews and interrogations.; The student will identify the necessary steps for preparing to conduct an investigative interview.; The student will learn how to identify verbal and nonverbal cues during an interview and introduce various types of interview techniques. The student will learn the process of conducting an effective interview.; The student will be introduced to the dynamics of interviewing a juvenile.; The student will be introduced to the dynamics of conducting an interview of a sexual assault victim.; The student will learn the major steps involved with aiding eyewitness identification when using showups and photo lineups.; The student will gain practical experience in conducting interviews through role-play exercises.;
