Course Type: Mandatory Retraining
The intent of this course is to train criminal justice officers, who are not required to carry a firearm in the performance of their duties and who have not previously taken the Commission-approved 80 hour firearms course, to handle firearms safely. The skills taught in this course enable an officer to safely and correctly handle, load and unload, and clear malfunctions in common types of firearms. Civilians and Crime Scene personnel are encouraged to attend.
