Child Exploitation complete Investigations through Trial Testimony in Federal and State Court

Many cases of child exploitation involve both federal and local investigation agencies, multiple legal issues and prosecuting agencies. Each agency has very distinct levels of expertise and conversely limitations on their abilities. We would like to present cases from beginning to end that involved civilians, local agencies and federal investigative agencies, prosecution in both State and Federal Court, very young child victim(s) and child pornography on an electronic device. When a crime involves computer/forensic issue there is certain protocol that should be followed as to how to preserve the data prior to forensic examination, especially as it relates to child pornography and where there appears to be newly identified victim still at risk and unidentified. The legal issues as to the retention of evidence and the search warrant affidavit criteria become critical and require communication by all agencies involved from the beginning. The class participants would work the case(s) from the beginning with the guidance of Detective Patricia Bell and ASA Francine Donnorummo.
