ATV Rider Course

Course Type: Mandatory Retraining

The ATV Rider course is a hands-on, all-day class conducted by 2 licensed ATV Safety Institute Instructors. The course offers students an opportunity to increase their safety knowledge and practice basic riding skills in a controlled environment under the supervision of two licensed Instructors (including classroom instruction). In regards to ATV training, students practice basic safety techniques with hands-on exercises covering starting and stopping, turning (both gradual and quick), negotiating hills, emergency stopping and swerving, and riding over obstacles. Particular emphasis is placed on the safety implications relating to each lesson. The course also covers protective gear (like DOT-Complaint ATV helmets), environmental concerns, and local laws. Participants receive the ATV Rider Course Handbook, which reinforces the safety information and riding techniques covered in ATV Rider course. The student is to provide their own ATV, Helmet, and Gloves.
